Pet Ranger to Moorland Paws:2002-2022!

I can’t believe I have been in business for 20 years this year 😊 and to top it all, I am 60 in September, makes me want to laugh 😂 and cry 😭 at the same time!!

In my life pre Pet Ranger, I was lecturing at Exeter College which made me ill with Depression. I knew I had to do something different so trained to become and dog groomer..like you do! My life has always been sport and animals. So in 2002 I started Pet Ranger.

2002- 2013. Pet Ranger – Dog grooming, pet sitting, dog walking and home boarding. It was a busy start, I was mobile dog grooming in the beginning, that was hard work, then we set up here at Taw Green with a purpose built studio. When I trained it was nearly all Poodles, Westies and Springers, not a Poodle Cross in sight, how things have changed.

2013-2014- Pet Ranger dog walking and pet sitting was sold to @the pet care guardian who is still going today, well done Rebecca! We went off on our travels around Europe with Diesel and Winnie, 17 countries, heading as far North as beyond the Artic Circle and as far South at Peloponnese of Greece.

Sept 2014- We headed home. I had a few enquiries from previous customers to groom again, not my plan, but the next thing I knew I was back grooming!

2014- 2018 Pet Ranger was back, grooming from home, but things were about to change again.

2018-2020 Pet Ranger became Moorland Paws and moved to an amazing shop in Chagford. I was so proud of the shop and grateful to all of my loyal customers who followed me, without you it would not have been possible, so thank you. 2020- COVID- Sadly we closed the shop, but fear not, back to Taw Green we came, loyal customers and new customers too.

2020-2022 – We are still here after 20 years and what a journey it has been. I still have some of the same loyal customers, I should say – Friends-not with the same dogs sadly- who have supported me throughout and without you I could not have achieved this, so a real massive thank you. We have been through so much together, I feel you have been part of my life.
